Youths serve as an important pillar of support for the nation. At the individual level, youths are the
primary source of emotional, social and financial support in most areas in Kenya. At the national level, they contribute to
social stability and national cohesiveness as they help develop socially responsible individuals and deepen the bond Kenyans
have with our country.
I will not force Youths to do this or that in this program. It is their right to choose if they want.
They know what they can do and what is beneficial for them. I will try and form a committee from the village to study the
situation of Youths and if it is, for instance, unable to get a meal then it will be more important that I assist them. But,
this doesn’t mean that we just give them the money with out supervision.
I know it will be very difficult for me to finance all these activities. So, every body should extend
a hand in helping the needy section of our population in Kenya. If everybody contributes a little,
much could be accomplished.
On the other hand a compassionate society is one which cares for the less fortunate who are in need.
Every citizen and his family should be assisted in their effort to attain the means and opportunities for a decent and dignified
living. Persons facing hardships are given help to tide them over a difficult period as well as to regain their financial
independence. This will enable them to continue to contribute positively to the nation.
